Privacy Policy
This Policy explains how Byterra Technology Limited (“Byterra,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) handles personal data in connection with the 1-Page Resume mobile app (also marketed as One Page Resume), related support communications, and this site’s contact references. It does not cover third-party sites you open outside our app.
The App may be published in app stores under the same company name that appears in this Privacy Policy.
Plain summary: Most resume content stays on your device. We do not store your resume content on our own servers in the ordinary course of providing the App. Some features use third parties (e.g. AI providers, app stores). When you use those features, limited data may be processed as described below — we do not promise that no data ever touches third-party systems.
1. Who we are

2. Scope
Applies to: use of the App on iOS and Android; emails or messages you send us. Does not apply to Apple, Google, or other third parties under their own policies.
3. Data we process
A. Resume content (primarily on-device)
You may enter or import name, contact fields, employment and education history, resume text, job descriptions, and imported PDF text. This is generally stored locally on your device; you control it.
B. Anonymous usage and crash data (Firebase)
The App may collect anonymous, non-personal usage and crash data via Firebase, a service provided by Google. This data helps us improve app stability and understand how the App is used.
Analytics data (only collected if you enable it in Settings > Privacy & Data) may include: anonymous device identifiers, app version and platform, device model and OS version, session duration, and basic interaction events. This data is not linked to your identity and does not include resume content, job descriptions, or any personal data you enter in the App.
Crash reporting (enabled by default, optional to disable in Settings > Privacy & Data) may include crash logs, stack traces, app state at the time of a crash, and technical diagnostics.
Firebase may process data on servers in the United States, subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
C. AI-powered features
When you use AI-powered features (for example, AI editing/tailoring of resume sections or AI-assisted PDF structuring), relevant text may be transmitted to third-party AI providers (which may be hosted in the United States) in order to perform the feature you requested. This may include extracted PDF text, resume content, job description text, and prompts or instructions needed to generate or tailor output.
Our storage practice: we do not store your prompts, PDFs, outputs, or resume content on our own servers in the ordinary course of providing the App.
Third-party processing: AI providers may retain limited temporary logs or records (which may include limited content and/or metadata) for security, abuse prevention, reliability, or billing, consistent with their own policies.
D. Purchases
Payments go through Apple and Google. We do not receive your full payment card number. Stores may share limited data with us (e.g. subscription status, product ID, transaction metadata for entitlements).
E. Support
If you email us, we process what you send (e.g. your address and any content you include — possibly including resume material if you attach it).
F. On-device operational data
The App may store limited state on your device (e.g. credit regeneration timestamps, preferences, drafts). This is generally not uploaded unless you share it (e.g. via support).
4. How we use personal data
We use data as needed to provide the App, run AI features you request, validate subscriptions, respond to support, protect users and the service, comply with law, and enforce our Terms. We do not use your resume content for advertising. We may collect anonymous usage and crash data via Firebase (Google) to improve app stability and understand usage patterns, as described in Section 3B. Analytics collection requires your opt-in consent; crash reporting is enabled by default but can be disabled in Settings > Privacy & Data.
5. Legal bases (UK / EEA / CH)
Where applicable: contract, legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention, support), legal obligation, and consent where required.
6. International transfers
AI providers and app platforms may process data outside your country (e.g. United States). Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards under applicable law.
7. Retention
On-device content (e.g. resume material, imported PDFs, generated/exported PDFs) is stored locally on your device within the App's sandbox or storage. You control it — delete in-app (if available) or uninstall. On Android, clearing App data in system settings may also remove locally stored content. Because this data is stored locally, we generally cannot access, retrieve, or delete it for you. We may retain support mail and limited subscription-related records from stores as needed for support, security, and legal compliance. Third parties retain data under their own practices.
8. Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share limited data with AI providers (for requested features), Apple/Google (billing and distribution), advisers or authorities where required, or a successor in a business transaction.
9. Children
The App is not intended for children under 16. Do not provide children’s data unless clearly necessary and lawful.
10. Sensitive data
Include only what you need. Unless clearly necessary, avoid government IDs, payment or bank details in free text, health or biometric data, precise location, or children’s data. You are responsible if you import others’ personal data.
11. Your rights
Rights vary by region. Much data is on your device — access, correct, export, or delete it in the App or by uninstalling. For example, the App may let you export generated PDFs using in-app sharing.
For data we control (e.g. support mail, limited store records), contact [email protected]. To help us locate your records, please email from the address you used to contact us and include relevant details (e.g. approximate date).
12. California
California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, subject to exceptions. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used under California law. Categories collected may include identifiers (e.g. if you email us), customer records (subscription status), professional information from resumes you process, and inferences from AI features. Sources and uses are as described in this Policy.
13. Security
We use reasonable safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; you are responsible for your device and the content you choose to process.
14. Third-party components
The App uses components including Firebase (Google) for anonymous usage analytics and crash reporting (see Section 3B), as well as PDFium and Skia. Separate terms and notices may apply.
15. Changes
We may update this Policy. Material changes may be notified in the App or otherwise. The updated version takes effect when posted unless stated otherwise.
