Terms of Use
These Terms govern the 1-Page Resume mobile application (also marketed as One Page Resume) and related features we provide through the app (the “App”). They also apply to this marketing website where helpful for interpreting references to our product and contact channels. The App is operated by Byterra Technology Limited, Hong Kong.
The App may be published in app stores under a developer or seller account name that differs from the operator name stated in these Terms.
By using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. Who we are
Byterra Technology Limited
Unit 2A, 17/F, Glenealy Tower, No. 1 Glenealy
Central, Hong Kong S.A.R.
Email: [email protected]
“Byterra,” “we,” “our,” and “us” mean Byterra Technology Limited. “You” means the person using the App. “Application Store” means the digital distribution platform (such as the Apple App Store or Google Play) from which you downloaded the App.
These Terms are between you and Byterra only — not with any Application Store provider. We alone are responsible for the App and its content.
2. The App
The App helps you create, edit, tailor, and export resume PDFs from information you enter. It may let you store resume content on your device; generate PDFs locally; edit/tailor content for job descriptions using third-party AI providers (which may be hosted in the United States); and import PDFs, extract text on-device, and send relevant text to those providers to parse or structure content.
The App is intended for users 16 and older.
3. Eligibility
You may use the App only if you are at least 16, can enter a binding agreement, and your use complies with applicable law and these Terms. If you use the App on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
4. Subscriptions and billing
Paid plans (e.g. Pro Monthly, Pro 3-Month) may include different allowances for AI editing/tailoring, PDF import, and other features. Apple and Google handle billing, renewals, cancellations, and refunds under their rules; Byterra does not process your payment card data directly. We may change plans, allowances, or pricing as permitted by law and platform rules, with notice where required.
5. Credits and allowances (AI editing and PDF import)
Certain features use a credit system (for example, AI editing credits and PDF import credits). In the App, AI editing credits may be displayed as “AI edits,” and in some places we may describe the capability as “AI tailoring.” For these Terms, they refer to the same credit-based feature set unless we state otherwise in the App.
Some actions may use more than one (1) credit (for example, “Tailor All” may use multiple AI editing credits because it edits multiple sections).
“Every 24 hours” regeneration is on a rolling basis. Where “no rollover” applies to a daily free credit, you may hold at most one regenerated daily credit at a time for that feature unless we state otherwise in the App.
Free plan (summary): includes 10 starter AI editing credits (one-time); after those are used, you regenerate 1 AI editing credit every 24 hours (no rollover). PDF import regenerates 1 PDF import credit every 24 hours (no rollover).
Pro PDF import (summary): at the start of each billing period you receive 3 PDF import credits; during the period you may gain +1 every 24 hours (rolling), with accumulation rules and caps as shown in the App; unused import credits for the period generally do not carry to the next period.
Pro plans — AI editing credits: amounts for each paid plan are shown in-app (e.g. per month or per 3 months) and apply per billing period unless we state otherwise in the App.
If anything on this page conflicts with the in-app display for the specific plan you selected, the in-app display controls for that plan.
6. License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the App on any device you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use, subject to these Terms. If you downloaded the App from Apple's App Store, you may also use it on any Apple-branded device you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions (including via Family Sharing or volume purchasing).
You may not misuse, reverse engineer (except where law forbids that restriction), interfere with the App, or use it unlawfully or to build a competing service. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
7. Your content
You retain ownership of content you enter, import, create, or export (“Your Content”). You grant Byterra a narrow license to process Your Content only as needed to operate requested features (including PDF import, parsing, resume editing/tailoring, and export), maintain security, comply with law, and enforce these Terms. That does not transfer ownership to us.
8. How content is processed
Much drafting and PDF generation happens on your device. AI features may send relevant text (resume, imported PDF text, job description, prompts) to third-party AI providers as needed for the feature.
We do not store your prompts, PDFs, outputs, or resume content on our own servers in the ordinary course of providing the App. Third-party providers may keep limited temporary logs for security, abuse prevention, reliability, or billing under their own policies.
PDF import: text is extracted on-device; relevant text may then be sent to an AI provider to parse or structure content.
9. Content warnings
You are responsible for your content. Do not submit unlawful material, malware, or data you have no right to use. Include only what your application reasonably needs. Unless clearly necessary, avoid government IDs, passport or driver’s license numbers, payment or bank details, health data, biometrics, precise location, or children’s data. If you import third-party personal data, you are responsible for having the right to use it.
10. AI disclaimer
AI output may be wrong, incomplete, or unsuitable. You must review and verify all output before use. Byterra does not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose.
11. Availability; third parties
We may change or discontinue features at any time. The App is distributed via Apple and Google; their terms may also apply. We are solely responsible for providing maintenance and support for the App. The Application Store providers have no obligation to provide any maintenance or support.
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store and it fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple for a refund of the purchase price. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the App.
The App uses components such as PDFium and Skia under their respective terms. You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the App.
12. Termination
You may stop using the App anytime. We may suspend or terminate access for violations, risk, or misuse. Provisions that should survive termination (e.g. liability, law) survive.
13. Disclaimers and liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties to that extent. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages; total liability for claims relating to the App or these Terms is limited to amounts you paid for the App in the 12 months before the event, except where law forbids such limits.
We are responsible for addressing any claims relating to the App or your use of it, including product liability claims, claims the App fails to meet legal or regulatory requirements, and claims under consumer protection or privacy laws. The Application Store providers are not responsible for such claims.
14. Indemnity
To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify Byterra and affiliates against claims arising from Your Content, misuse, violation of these Terms, or violation of law or third-party rights.
In the event of any third-party claim that the App infringes intellectual property rights, we — not the Application Store provider — are solely responsible for the investigation, defense, settlement, and discharge of the claim.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction.
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
16. Changes; contact
We may revise these Terms; material changes may be notified in the App or otherwise. Continued use after updates means acceptance. Questions: [email protected]
17. Third Party Beneficiary
If you downloaded the App from the Apple App Store, you acknowledge that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms. Upon your acceptance, Apple will have the right to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary.
